Kiddie books

Jane Marie Browning is fixin’ to turn 2 soon (geez!). Of course I’ve been snooping around for birthday gift ideas. Print & Pattern got me thinking about books with their mention of Follow the Line to School by Laura Ljungkvist*:

I already have Follow the Line Through the House, but that’s Mommy’s book that Jane’s not allowed to touch! I’m also pretty excited about Orla Kiely*’s Colours and Numbers books, but they’re not yet available:

The Amazon‘s a pretty dangerous place to hang out. When you look at one item, they’re more than happy to suggest others for you. It’s a slippery slope. So here’s some other super-cute books I’m now considering:

Bruno Munari’s ABC and Bruno Munari’s Zoo

Little 1, Sparkle and Spin, and I Know a Lot of Things by Ann and Paul Rand**

Alphabeasties and Bugs by the Numbers by Sharon Werner* and Sarah Forss

I Like Vegetables, I Like Fruit, I Like Toys, and I Like Bugs by Lorena Siminovich of Petit Collage*

Counting in the Garden, ABC is for Circus, and Natural Wonders coloring book by Patrick Hruby*

For Just One Day by Laura Leuck and Marc Boutavant*, Where’s Walrus? by Stephen Savage*, and Colors by Charley Harper* (we already have 123s and ABCs)

Told you it was a slippery slope!! This is several years worth of ideas! Decisions, decisions…

* Do yourself a favor and check out their websites

I would love to get some of these for Jane too. Maybe you should start an amazon wish list for her so we can make sure there are no duplicates?

I started an Amazon gift list, but I’m not sure I can make it public like a wish list. I’ll look into it.
