This should be the last of the game posts for awhile (unless my mom unearths a new stash somewhere). Payday was one of my all-time favorite games growing up. The illustrations are wonderful. This is the 1975 version of the game which can no longer be found in stores. I was lucky enough to find an unopened one on ebay, so of course I had to have it.

The Deal cards are my favorite because I love the pink/purple combo.

The one we had as kids didn’t fare so well over the years, and all Mom was able to save was the board and some of the cards and money. I’m just now recalling a memory where I “borrowed” some money from the game to play “store”. (Amy, were you my partner in crime? You were usually the only one I played store with.) Coming up in the posts ahead: I will be sharing some of the story books from my childhood.

Yes, I would guess I was your partner-in-crime – sounds like something we would do. P.S. Have you had any luck finding Orla Kiely stuff at Target yet? It’s not at my local Target but I’m on a mission to find it this weekend.

I haven’t looked yet. Chris still owes me a Valentine’s present, so guess what I’m going to get! I already know I want the tray with the flowers and the 2-tiered server that has apples on it.
