Old card games

Here is a continuation of my walk down memory lane. Some of what we found:

Old decks of cards, Racko, Rook (I have no idea how to play it)...

… slapjack...

… Uno (I always loved getting the Draw Four Wild Card because it was the prettiest)…

... and Mille Bournes! I only learned how to play this about 2 months ago (only the parents played it), and it’s actually pretty fun. My cousin’s wife Kenna said she used to play this in French class in high school, and they were only allowed to speak French during the game. We then proceeded to use every French word we knew whether it was relevent to the game or not. I ended up saying “oui” instead of “yes” for like a month straight.

You can still buy this game with the original artwork. It’s the only way to go!

I absolutely love the Mille Bourne cards. I’m probably going to have to break down and get my own game, oui?

I beg to differ, you still use “oui” to this day…
