I was browsing through my new issue of Modernism magazine the other day, and I noticed a picture of a house that looked familiar.

And then I realized where I had seen it before.

It’s in nearby Brownstown, IN!! It turns out that it is a Lustron all-steel house which was mass produced starting in 1948. Evidently it is significant enough that there was one on display recently at the Museum of Modern Art. Here is the article from Modernism (scroll to pages 24-25).
